Why is it more than a high-street wallet?
High-street wallets are usually bonded leather — offcuts ground into pulp, mixed with glue and stamped with a grain pattern. The card slots stretch, the corners give out, and you replace it.
This is full-grain hide. The fibres pull back instead of stretching out, and there are no layers to come apart.
Will it stretch out?
It will soften and mould around what you carry, which is different from stretching. Full-grain fibres spring back. Bonded leather has no fibre structure to spring back with, which is why cheap wallets end up loose and never recover.
What does the 10-year guarantee cover?
Cracking, splitting, delamination and stitching failure. If any of those happen, we replace it.
Not covered: patina, scratches or accidental damage. Those are not failures — they are use.
How many cards does it hold?
Comfortably its stated capacity without bulking out, and it will take a few more than that. The leather settles around them within a fortnight.
How do I look after it?
Wipe it clean. Condition it twice a year if you remember. Do not sit on it all day — that is what kills wallets, not the leather.
